Evolv Communications is a local design agency who wanted to have a website revamp as they felt the need for a better creative design as opposed to Squarespace's templates.
As the client's previous website had various animations and effects to it. The newly revamped website has to be of a certain quality to assure that the content provided will still be innovative and fresh, and still draw attention to users. Thus, these considerations to be made:
❌ A need for some form of animation on the website so that it will not be too stale.
❌ Content in subpages has to be accompanied with images, or some form of creative element to make it interesting, and not cluttered with words.
After deciding and thinking through these design challenges, I took these actions to solve these issues above.
✅ To have a sliding viewer on the homepage such that the content can be viewed once the user slides the knob left and right
✅ Implementing a parallax image as the top subpage header, while also having a scroll transition such that not everything is placed on the page itself, and the images will appear when the user scrolls down
If there were future improvements to the website, the changes that I would make (non-client input):
💭 To have their logo animated, alongside with sliding text of the company's name
💭 To be able to have in browser scrolling of the work that they have done, and also some interactive modules which let users interact with
